As most of you know guided imagery has been use for cancer patients
Many cancer patients personally say that the “mind” part of caring for themselves is one of the most important–that is, finding a peaceful place to take yourself in your mind while your physical body is repairing. The practice of Guided Imagery is one way to find that peaceful place and will aid your recovery.
What you can imagine, you can also create in your life.
I have a example: the other day I was walking on the beach in San Diego, California. It was a warm, sunny day, and I started to imagine I was walking in snow. (I love to snow shoe) I starting walking up and down little sand dunes on the beach moving my arms back and forth quickly. I started to feel the joy and the benefits of the exercise on my body, it was great fun and before I know it 45 minutes had passed, and it felt like 10.
Guided imagery is simple, but a very powerful tool for transformation.
